DRY BARREL FIRE and UNDERGROUND FIRE HYDRANTS

Hydrants designed to be used as a water source for firefighting by professional teams and fire departments are meticulously crafted to ensure years of reliable use and are designed to be easily noticeable in emergency situations within your facilities. Besides offering ease of use in high-risk conditions where remote intervention is crucial, they are also resilient to external weather conditions.

Technical Specifications

  • · There are two different designs and models available: dry type, which does not hold water inside the body and is resistant to freezing in cold weather, and wet type, which continuously holds water inside the body and is suitable for use in places where there is no risk of freezing. Additionally, we offer an underground fire hydrant model for areas with space constraints such as ports, container storage areas, parking lots, etc.
  • · After using the hydrant, there is an automatic drainage valve to drain the water inside the hydrant body.
  • · Hydrant body is manufactured out of cast iron and coated above according to the EN 1503-3 and EN-GJL-250 RAL 3002 red. We can design and manufacture stainless steel body and valved fire hydrants tailored to your projects.
  • · All internal parts of the hydrant are replaceable without the need for excavation work. This provides ease of maintenance and repair.
  • · The hydrant has two outlets as standard complete with aluminium Storz type couplings and blind caps.
  • · As requested, the hydrant can be manufactured with 3 outlets and different types of blind caps (ie: BS, NH, GOST, etc.).
  • · The water outlets for DN 80 models are 2” (DN 52), for DN 100 and DN 150 are 2½” (DN 65).
  • · Inside the valve box, there are the sealing mechanism, automatic drainage valve, and a slider that operates them. All of these parts are made of brass material in order to ensure the longevity of the system and to prevent different abrasions.
  • · The on-off cap on the hydrant can be easily rotated by hand and is designed to be used with the hydrant key.
  • · Each hydrant is subjected to %100 pressure testing and quality control.

Note: The features mentioned above belong to the standard product and can also be manufactured as a custom design according to your needs.
